Delivery – Our team has completed projects utilizing Design/Bid/Build, Design-Build/EPC and EPC/Turnkey delivery systems. We pride ourselves on our ability to respond quickly to our project needs and find creative and practical solutions.

Leadership – The firm is led by Stephen Courtney, an over 4 decade veteran of the profession, who’s specific expertise in Proton Therapy Design is known internationally. Real estate development, community planning, and project/construction management are other areas in which Mr. Courtney is particularly knowledgeable.

Project Types – The firm excels in development planning and complex building types such as Cancer Centers and Laboratories, and has a portfolio in Academics, Pharmaceuticals, and Manufacturing as well.

Expertise - SCI·X staff and our Proton Advisory Board have been involved in 16 of the 40+ operating Proton Therapy facilities in the US, and have a number in development. This team has worked with a very diverse list of Proton Therapy equipment manufacturers including; CPAC, Hitachi, IBA, Mevion, P-Cure, ProTom International, Sumimito and Varian.

History – Though the firm is only in its 14th year, the staff brings with them many decades of experience gained in other prominent national firms.

Advisory Board – SCI·X is blessed with, and our projects benefit from, an Advisory Board that consists of two MDs: two PhD physicists and a University based IT Engineer.
